Privacy policy

This policy explains what information Catt County Cat Nippers Inc. (“we”, “us”), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in Franklinville, NY (EIN 82-3207731), collects through cattcountycatnippers.org and how we use it. We do not sell or rent personal information.

Information you give us

• Help applications (/apply): your name, email, phone, town, the number of cats and any notes. We use them only to respond to your request and arrange care. They are emailed to our volunteer coordinator using our email provider, Resend.
• Donations: payments are processed by Stripe on Stripe’s secure page. We receive your name, email, the amount and whether the gift is monthly, so we can send your receipt and keep tax records. We never see or store your full card number. Stripe’s use of your information is covered by the Stripe Privacy Policy.
• Emails from us: donation receipts and replies to your application. We don’t add you to a mailing list without asking.

Information collected automatically

• Hosting: our site is served by Cloudflare, which processes standard request data (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver and protect the site.
• Advertising measurement: we use the Google tag (Google Ads) to measure whether our ads lead to donations and help applications, and to show our ads to people who have visited our site. Google may set cookies for this. You can control ad personalization at Google Ad Settings and learn more in how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
• Saved in your browser: your gift selection (so it isn’t lost between pages), an unsent application draft, and, if you arrived from an ad, the ad click identifier and campaign tags for up to 90 days so we can tell which ads helped. This stays on your device; clearing your browser data removes it.

How long we keep information

We keep donation records as long as tax and nonprofit record-keeping rules require. We keep help applications only as long as needed to respond and to keep basic program records.

Your choices

You can ask us to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop emailing you, by calling or texting (716) 200-1283. Monthly donors can update or cancel their gift at any time using the link in their receipt.

Children

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
